Cubic Zirconia is the most revolutionary synthetic gemstone of all synthetics. Cubic Zirconia or CZ crystals are made in laboratory at temperatures higher than required for all other gems. Also there is no natural counterpart of Cubic Zirconia, which means CZ is not found naturally at all. Most of the imitation jewelry has CZ in it.

Cubic Zirconia is being manufactured nowadays in almost all colors imaginable like pink CZ, colorless, champagne, red, green, yellow, blue, purple and even black. The most recent introduction is multi-color CZ. A notable thing about CZ is that it has high dispersion, higher than diamond. As a matter of fact colorless Cubic Zirconia was introduced as diamond imitation. CZ is not as hard as diamond but it is quite hard as a gemstone. The only problem is that CZ is brittle, meaning it gets chipped off easily if it is hit. Another good thing about CZ is its very low price: probably the cheapest lab created gemstone in the market. So in short it can be said that CZ is very lovely gemstone, which is extremely good value for money.
